Résumé : | This study aims to shed light on the Anglo-American relationship during the cold war era. It also endeavors to provide an in-depth look at the two countries' relationship and the impact of this relation on the European and Asian scale. It tends to examine the cooperation between the two countries in terms of economy, culture, and military advance. Ultimately, another concern of the present research work is to explore the history of the cold war and focus on Britain’s role as an important ally to the US during its events. Henceforth, the current research work relies on a descriptive approach to analyse data. The results revealed that America needed Great Britain. The American force was not enough to defeat the Soviet Union, so it was essential for them to cooperate with Great Britain. Furthermore, the United States was so far removed from the Soviet Union that they needed a power in the middle to help close this gap. |
