Résumé : | The present study aims to conduct a post structuralist analysis about one of James Joyce‟s short stories ‘The Boarding House’ (1914) from his collection „Dubliners‟. It is about analysing characters‟ identities in the story through applying some of the post structuralism key concept s, the work intends to look for the social fragmentation that Mrs, Mooney has caused, and the way that she could manipulate and control people‟s life and their decision according her daughter‟s one , the realities that Joyce shows in „The Boarding House’ stand as a mirror which reflects the struggles of the Irish society , to attain those objectives a descriptive analytical method is adopted for, in addition to that a feminist discourse and post structuralism theory are selected and adopted in the analysis. |
