The current study falls under the title “Psychological pension for people
with chronic diseases in light of the Corona pandemic”, as the latter aimed to identify the psychological pension of people with chronic diseases in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic. The problem of the study was as follows: What distinguishes the psychological pension for people with chronic diseases in light of the Corona pandemic? As a possible solution to this problem, the following hypothesis was formulated: The psychological pension for people with chronic diseases in light of the Corona pandemic is characterized by a high degree of anxiety and depression. In order to verify the hypothesis and achieve the objectives of the study, the clinical approach was adopted, which is concerned with the in-depth study of the individual case, and the use of a set of tools represented in the clinical interview (the half-guided interview), clinical observation, in addition to the scales of anxiety "Taylor" and depression "Aaron Beck". The duration of the basic study lasted one month and twenty days. As for the two study cases, the first case is a 50-year-old male suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, and the second case is a 61-year-old female suffering from high blood pressure. In conclusion, the results of the study concluded that the psychological pension of the two study cases is characterized by a high degree of anxiety in light of the Corona pandemic, while it is characterized by a low degree of depression. |
