Microwaves, with frequencies between 300 MHz and 300 GHz, are used in various
applications. Filter networks manipulate signals at different frequencies in microwave systems. Designing filters can be challenging due to material properties and dimensions. Techniques like defected-ground structures (DGS) and Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) improve filtering mechanisms. HFSS software is commonly used for filter design and frequency response analysis. This dissertation presents various designs of microwave devices, including band-pass filters, using different technologies and modeling techniques.
